Among the Romans, Dis Pater is a rather obscure god assimilated to Pluto. However, according to Julius Caesar:
"(...) The Gauls boast of being descended from Dis Pater, a tradition they say they received from the Druids. It is for this reason that they measure time, not by the number of days; but by the number of nights. They calculate the days of birth, the beginning of months and that of years, so that day follows night in their calculation (...)."
Theories says that "Dispater" would've been the father/god of every souls.
